The Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust is made up of three staff members:
Jane Calvin, Executive Director - Jane’s prior experience includes teaching science, forest policy work for the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, and work as an urban forester for the state of Massachusetts. Jane holds a Masters in Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. Jane has been with the Trust since 1995.
Brian Cutler, Stewardship & Education Manager - Brian joined the Trust staff Summer-2007. Prior to his arrival as staff, he volunteered and worked on special projects for the Trust for several years, including our rafting program, the Concord River Greenway, land stewardship, and at many events. He shares his time as a Teacher-Naturalist at Mass Audubon Society's Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary in Lincoln, MA (also since Summer-2007). Brian graduated from Global College (Friends World Program) of Long Island University with a B.A. in Environmental Education and Spanish Education. He has been teaching environmental education since 2000 through various organizations in New England, California, Costa Rica, and Canada.
Jennifer Loher, Project Specialist – Jennifer began volunteering and participating in events with the Trust shortly after moving to Lowell and became a Project Specialist in March 2010. She was drawn to the Trust’s work and their ability to protect and enhance the unique natural resources in the city. Jennifer shares her time between the Trust and working as a yoga instructor. She graduated from UCONN with a B.A. in Psychology and Women’s Studies and enjoys walking, biking and being on the water in Lowell.
