The Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust has protected over 30 acres of land in the city of Lowell, land that will be left pristine and undeveloped for future generations to enjoy. In 2014, we were accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission for our outstanding land conservation practices.
The Trust is one of few urban land trusts in the country – and we take our mission to create, conserve and preserve parks, open spaces and special places very seriously. Since the early 1990’s, we’ve been working to keep green spaces pristine for future generations. In 2014, we were accredited by the Land Trust Alliance, demonstrating our hard work and dedication. Kittredge Park and Liberty Park are both locations where a committed group had raised funds for the care of the park, but asked LP&CT to manage special maintenance needs. Funding to help care for both of these parks is provided by income from small endowments at theGreater Lowell Community Foundation.
