Totman Street
The Totman Street Property
sits just below the headwaters of Claypit Brook (above).
The site is narrow at its main access point (shown below) and broadens
greatly throughout its interior areas.
Raccoon tracks can be seen year-round along the banks of the brook,
while Green Frogs will often squeak, as they leap to the safety of deeper
water.
Claypit Brook, which flows southeast
to the Merrimack River, serves as an important corridor for Lowell wildlife,
such as beavers. This property supports various ecosystems including
forest, meadow, and wetland.
