West Meadow Road

Above: South end of property.
Welcome to Lowell! The West Meadow Property is perhaps
the most serene scene in the entire city of Lowell. Somewhat rectagular
in shape, each end of the property is forested with tall white pine
trees, ferns, and Canada Mayflowers, split by a sandy middle section.
This mid-section has potential of generating various mosses and sprouting
a variety of wildflowers in the coming years.
This property is of particular importance, as it serves as a
wildlife corridor between several wetlands and the adjacent
Lowell-Dracut-Tyngsboro State Forest. The property
is also home to a small vernal pool and a stream
which eventually reaches Flagg Brook and the Merrimack
River.
