For 35 years, the Trust has connected thousands of young people and families to the parks, rivers, and green spaces that make Lowell a more vibrant place to live. Your year-end gift helps ensure these opportunities continue—bringing hands-on learning, stewardship, and community health to every neighborhood.
And this year, all new and increased gifts are doubled through a Challenge Match, giving you the chance to make an even greater difference.
The timing couldn’t be better. Now more than ever, people need places like Wamesit Falls on the Concord River Greenway—where the sound of rushing water invites us to slow down, breathe deeply, and rediscover our connection to the natural world close to home.

Discovering the Greenway—with its abundance of wildflowers, pollinators, and birds—helped Anna feel more connected to her community. Her photos and reflections capture the joy of that re-discovery.
Since that walk, Anna and her brother, Anbu, have joined nearly a dozen Trust events, from birding walks to Kayaking the Neighborhood, a free program that gives residents their first opportunity to paddle the Concord River. Inspired by what he learned about our turtle conservation program, Anbu now volunteers each week to help care for endangered turtles.
Connecting people and places is at the heart of what the Trust does—and you make this possible. YOU can help:
Remember, your gift will go twice as far. All new and increased gifts will be doubled to unlock the Challenge Match—once we raise $150,000.
Let’s make the most of this opportunity to boost everyone’s access to the outdoors—fostering a passion for nature that enriches lives and strengthens community connections.
Your gift made before December 31 will be doubled—helping even more people discover the joy of nature and love for Lowell’s special places.
