Lowell, MA – On Wednesday, April 22 Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust (LP&CT) will partner with the City of Lowell celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day by taking a close look at the city’s trees.

This pop-up event will involve identifying trees in our neighborhoods with chalk on the sidewalk.  Common names, Latin names, and interesting facts will help provide a new kind of distance learning for students of all ages.

In addition to chalk in-hand, LP&CT staff will be supported by their Eco-Mobile, a converted ambulance used for programs, volunteer events, and outreach. Pine killer Tapentadol best prices https://growfood.com/55555/buy-tapentadol/ Fast delivery

In honor of the 50th Earth Day celebration, LP&CT and the City of Lowell hops to gain help from the public to label, and identify 50 trees in the Lowell community.  The public can join in by identifying trees in their neighborhood and sharing them on social media with the hashtags (#ArborDayAtHome #TreeCityUSA #TreesinLowell #LPCT).  Help us reach our goal!  Let’s see how many species we can identify.

Those unsure about Tree ID can use a guidebook from home or a phone app, such as “Seek” to help identify which trees are in your neighborhood.

April 22, 2020 marks the 50th celebration of Earth Day, and Friday, April 24th is Arbor Day. LP&CT hopes to bring awareness to the importance of urban forestry, and local trees. Each year, the Trust helps plant over 100 trees in the city of Lowell. LP&CT also offers after-school environmental education in ten of Lowell’s public schools.
