Insect Adventures at West Meadow

Join us and discover all the diverse insect and invertebrate inhabitants of West Meadow. Learn about their behaviors, classifications, and the natural history of social insects.

This event is open to all ages.

The terrain will be a mixture of narrow paths, sandy trails, and rolling hills. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.

Pre-registration is required. 

The walk will be led by Dr. Christina L. Kwapich.

Dr. Christina Kwapich is an Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where she teaches courses in Entomology and Behavioral Ecology. She is the author of the book The Guests of Ants: How Myrmecophiles Interact with Their Hosts (Harvard University Press).
