Protecting Special Places…Sound Familiar?

Across our continent, people fight to protect open spaces. For their beauty, for wildlife protection, for recreation–the reasons are endless. The documentary JUMBO WILD takes a look at one of the many on-going fights for conservation. Produced by Patagonia, this film follows this 25-year conflict between ski resort developers and conservationists, skiers, and First Nation tribes–those groups trying to “Keep Jumbo Wild.”

We’ll also look at the winners of the Land Trust Alliance‘s “Land is My…” video contest. These short films explore what land means to different people around the country.

Jumbo Wild: 52 min. 2015.

Free event in partnership with the Lowell Film Collaborative. A big thank you to our sponsors, Enterprise Bank, Eno, Martin & Donahue LLP, and Mill City Environmental, for making this film series possible.
