At Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust, we believe everyone should have access to nature.
As someone who cares about our community, supporting the Trust is a way to connect others to the rivers, trails, and special places that are important to you.
You can help connect more people to nature in the city.
Your year-end gift will help us provide …
- More conservation areas and accessible trails.
- More environmental education programs that are free for everyone.
- More opportunities for kids to connect with nature.
Each year nearly a thousand Lowell students, most of whom have little access to nature, take part in our “Nature Explorers” after-school and summer programs. Students like second-graders Michael and Anna didn’t think they could find a butterfly in Lowell until we went on a scavenger hunt outside their school.
Not only did Michael, Anna, and their fellow “Nature Explorers” find a butterfly, they also heard birds singing, saw dozens of flowers and felt the bark of a tree.
You make these connections with nature possible.
Your support will help activate the next generation of stewards and connect children to our community and to nature.
On a recent field trip to Hawk Valley Farm, we heard comments such as:
“We’re already here?! But we just left the school!”
“This field is a great place to sit and draw in my nature journal.”
“Look! I found nut shells! And animal tracks! When can we come back here?”
Supporting the Trust is a way to protect unique places in Lowell – for children, for our neighbors, and for wildlife.
The newly protected Pawtucket Farm Wildlife Sanctuary will soon provide even more opportunities to be in nature, with accessible trails and an outdoor classroom, plus community gardens, a food forest, and a year-round farm stand. The power of this project is amplified thanks to our partnerships with Mass Audubon and Mill City Grows.
This year, you can make your gift go even further. A generous donor will match all donations, up to the first $10,000, doubling your impact as you help create community through conservation!
Together, we can ensure that nature is for everyone.
At checkout you can provide matching gift information or provide a special request for your gift.
LP&CT is a registered 501 (c)(3) organization and your gift is tax-deductible, as allowed by law.
