Lowell’s Urban Environment Benefits

The Brush Art Gallery and Studios presents: “Benefits of the Lowell’s Urban Environment” a series of activities designed to bring awareness of the urban environment to our community. The series will run from August 2019 to April 2020 and will include partnerships with Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust, Lowell Cemetery, Lowell National Historical Park, and Lowell High School.  Funded by the Theodore Edson Parker Foundation, the series will also include an educational exhibition in March 2020 and an Arbor Day poster contest featuring artists from Lowell High School.

The Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust will be offering four programs as a part of this series:

Tree Identification Walk — August 10, 10:00 AM at Lowell Cemetery(Lawrence Street Entrance, RAIN or SHINE) in partnership with Lowell Parks and Conservation Trust

Concord River Greenway Walk — September 28 (time to be confirmed) in partnership with Lowell Parks and Conservation Trust and a Plein Air Painting Class taught by Claire Gagnon.biriding, urban conservation, urban wildlife, Lowell, Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust

–> Bird Watching — October 6, 8:00 AM at Lowell Cemetery in partnership with Lowell Parks and Conservation Trust and a Plein Air Painting Class taught by Claire Gagnon.

Animal Tracking Walk — March 2020 (date to be confirmed) partnership with Lowell Parks and Conservation Trust
