Tree Planting to Screen VFW Highway

The Arbor Day Foundation and Verizon join the Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust and the Lowell Housing Authority to plant trees to screen the VFW highway at 600 Lakeview Avenue. Twenty-nine trees and ten shrubs will be planted to help screen this property from the noise and pollution of the busy highway. The elderly disabled that live at the community will experience a vibrant landscape with abundant shade, increased bird activity, and flowering plants.
