RSVPExplore our local plants, wildlife, and wetlands at Hawk Valley Farm! This historical site is both a beautiful nature preserve and a peek into Lowell’s pre-industrial history.
Explore on your own or stop by anytime between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. to join us for guided experiences:
- Tree ID – learn how to identify local tree species and enjoy the changing leaves.
- Scavenger Hunt – with clipboard and scavenger checklist in hand, kids always have fun exploring our property and learning something new about nature and history.
- Interact with our “Enviroscape” – this model landscape demonstrates watershed dynamics and the importance of preventing water pollution in a fun and interactive way. Don’t forget to check out Clay Pit Brook while you’re on site!
This event is friendly for all ages and is taking place as part of the Lowell City of Learning Festival.
Registration not required, but preferred.
Event will be held outside and is weather-dependent. Sturdy shoes recommended.
