Immerse yourself in “forest bathing” — a well-known Japanese practice, called Shinrin Yoku for managing stress and connecting to nature — during this two-three hour walk with Certified Forest Therapy Guide Lisa Gwiazda.
The walks are gentle immersions where Lisa guides you through a series of relaxing and engaging activities to engage our senses, deepen nature connection, hone intuition and connect with the natural world around us.
Wear comfortable clothing and good shoes for walking on uneven trails & sunscreen/hat. If the weather is cool you should also dress to stay warm! We suggest you bring one more layer than you think you will need. We will be moving at a slow pace so temperatures will be cooler than you expect. The walk will still be on if it’s raining, unless it is a really big downpour or violent storm.
Lisa Gwiazda is a Lowell resident, RN, HN-BC, Certified Forest Therapy Guide, WFR.
There is a suggested donation of $10 to participate, which will support our mission at the Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust.
