Explore Pawtucket Farm Wildlife Sanctuary from the indigenous perspective!

Join us for a tour led by Tom ‘Eagle Rising’ Libby, chief of the Greater Lowell Indian Cultural Association (GLICA). Learn about the history of Pawtucketville, indigenous traditions, and significant plant species found at Pawtucket Farm.

This will be a leisurely walk along accessible, All Person Trails with several stops to observe the natural setting while learning about the past and present area.

Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy walking shoes. Check out the trail maps here.

This event is weather-dependent and will be postponed to September 20th if there is heavy rain, thunderstorms, or extreme heat. 

RSVP: Please register in advance to secure your spot as space is limited. Taking public transportation or carpooling is highly encouraged as parking is limited at this time.

Please note, since this is a wildlife sanctuary:

• Dog walking and horseback riding are prohibited; please leave all animals and pets at home (service animals welcome)
• Foot travel only; please stay on trails (day passes are available for powered mobility devices)
• Camping, collecting, smoking, hunting, fishing, releasing of animals, and feeding wildlife is prohibited. We appreciate your understanding.
