Michael Frederick

Development Director
Michael is an accomplished community leader specializing in capital campaigns, major gifts, planned-giving, annual funds development, and grant writing. He studied at Harvard University, completing research on Thoreau’s natural history project, Wild Fruits, published in 2000. For 20 years, he was the Executive Director of the Thoreau Society in Concord, MA, which qualifies him as a wonderful addition to the LP&CT team.
Passionate about the outdoors, Mike spent ten years leading summer trips to Baxter State Park in Maine, where participants hiked Mount Ktaadn (Katahdin) and enjoyed an immersive outdoor experience. He is passionate about LP&CT’s efforts in building community through conservation, and he looks forward, in particular, to helping with the Pawtucket Farm Wildlife Sanctuary campaign.
